Overview of Warranty Coverage

Alien Ride Store provides a one-year comprehensive limited warranty starting from the date your vehicle is delivered. This warranty applies to all personal electric vehicles (PEVs) purchased directly from our website, unless otherwise stated.

Not included:
Accessories, spare parts, chargers, performance upgrades, and vehicles from RION and Tronic brands (see Performance Vehicle Warranty below).

Before any product leaves our facility, it undergoes a full quality inspection for functionality and cosmetic condition. Once your order arrives, you must inspect it immediately.

⚠️ Shipping Damage Notice
Any damage caused during shipping must be reported within 72 hours of delivery and include a video showing the odometer at 0 miles.

Warranty Coverage Details

The following components are covered under warranty unless excluded below:

Electrical & Drive Components

  • Controllers

  • Throttle and electronic control systems

  • Motor manufacturing defects

EUC-Specific Coverage

  • Suspension wear components (shocks, bushings, sliders, bearings): 6 months

Controllers & Chargers

  • VESC controllers: 3-month warranty (registration required within 3 days of delivery)

  • OEM and aftermarket fast chargers (≤1000W): 12 months

  • Hyper chargers (over 1000W): 6 months

Battery Coverage

  • PEV batteries, custom packs, and range extenders: 1 year

Certain clearance or closeout models may have shorter coverage periods. Any reduced warranty will be clearly disclosed on the product page.

Items & Situations Not Covered

Warranty coverage does not apply to:

  • Water-related damage (rain, flooding, snow, salt, mud, corrosion)

  • Normal wear items and consumables

  • Damage caused by accidents, crashes, abuse, or improper use

  • Firmware damage caused by the user

  • Bent or damaged motor rims

  • Unauthorized lighting, firmware, audio, or electrical modifications

  • Brake pads and other consumable parts

⚠️ Firmware Warning – Begode / Extreme Bull
Do not update firmware without first contacting Alien Ride Store. Manufacturer apps often include unstable test firmware that can permanently brick your unit. Damage caused by unauthorized firmware updates may void your warranty.

Consumable Parts (Not Covered)

Consumables include, but are not limited to:

  • Tires and inner tubes

  • Brake components

  • Suspension components

  • Hand grips

  • EUC motor bearings, shock internals, and pumps

    • Bearing warranty limited to 6 months

Misuse & Improper Handling

Warranty will be voided if damage results from:

  • Charging beyond manufacturer specifications

  • Exceeding rated speed or weight limits

  • Improper battery storage or maintenance

  • Leaving batteries fully charged or fully depleted for extended periods

Repairs & Third-Party Service Centers

If you are unable to visit our San Francisco service location, we can recommend approved third-party repair facilities.

  • Customers are responsible for labor costs

  • Alien Ride Store supplies warranty replacement parts

  • Labor coverage may be approved only in rare cases involving complex repairs (e.g., BMS replacement)

  • Routine repairs performed outside our facility are the customer’s responsibility

Self-Service Warranty Expectations

The PEV industry does not operate like the automotive industry. Warranty claims typically require the customer to install replacement parts.

We provide:

  • Video guidance and technical support when needed

Basic mechanical knowledge is expected.

  • Return shipping back to you is covered by Alien Ride Store

Warranty Shipping Policy

Continental U.S. (Lower 48)

  • Warranty parts ship free of charge

Non-Continental U.S. (HI, AK, PR, etc.)

  • Lithium-ion batteries cannot be shipped alone due to UN3481 air freight restrictions

  • Customers are responsible for all shipping costs

  • Shipping arrangements must be made by the customer

  • Manufacturer warranty may apply directly; we can provide contact details

  • Customs fees and import charges are the customer’s responsibility

We may provide basic diagnostic assistance remotely, in English only.

Battery Warranty & Safety Policy

Opening or disassembling any lithium-ion battery immediately voids the warranty.

If a battery issue occurs:

  • The entire battery must be shipped back via UPS Ground

  • Testing and repairs are performed by our certified technicians

  • We do not sell individual battery cells or BMS units

Unauthorized Modifications

Any non-OEM battery components, wiring changes, aftermarket BMS, or charge board modifications will void:

  • Battery warranty

  • Vehicle warranty

Battery Discharge & Storage Warning

Allowing a battery to reach 0% and remain there can cause irreversible damage.

Example:

  • Ending a ride at 5% and leaving the vehicle unused for months

  • Natural self-discharge may drop voltage below safe levels

  • The BMS may permanently block charging even if the charger shows a green light

⚠️ Action Required
If you hear alerts, sirens, or experience charging issues:

  • You must ship the unit within 48 hours for evaluation

Begode Battery Emergency Notice

Begode internal buzzers can drain batteries rapidly.

  • A battery can go from 2% to critical in under one week

  • Once voltage drops too low, recharging becomes unsafe

If your Begode battery begins beeping:
👉 Contact us immediately and arrange shipping within 48 hours

Fast Charger Warranty

  • OEM chargers ≤1000W: 12 months

  • Chargers >1000W: 6 months

  • Warranty void if cables are cut, soldered, or modified

Adapters are available to avoid modifying OEM wiring.

If a charger fails:

  • Send it in for inspection

  • Repair or replacement provided

  • Return shipping covered

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

All warranty requests must be submitted via email or website chat.

Please include:

  • Detailed description of the issue

  • Timestamped video evidence

  • Follow-up within 30 days of first contact

Generic claims without proof will not be accepted.

Shipping Your Vehicle?

  • Remove aftermarket parts that obstruct repairs

  • Labor for removal billed at $200/hour

  • Damaged or stripped fasteners may incur additional charges

Performance Vehicle Warranty

RION & Tronic Vehicles

  • 3-month full coverage (parts, labor, shipping)

  • Free labor after 3 months (shipping excluded)

  • Optional extended warranty available at purchase

⚠️ Never open the VESC Tool app
Doing so will immediately void warranty coverage.

Controller Warranty

  • Tronic / RION VESC: 30 days

  • 3Shul controllers: 90 days (registration required within 7 days)

  • Improper configuration voids warranty

Required Warranty Documentation by Brand

  • VSETT Scooters: Video showing serial number, battery model, and issue

  • Begode / Extreme Bull: Video showing motor serial (right side)

  • InMotion EUCs: Video + 16-character serial (SN…)

  • King Song EUCs: Video + 13-character serial (KSSA…)

  • Raev Bikes: Warranty activation required at raevbikes.com

Redo Package Protection

If Redo protection was added at checkout:

  • Your order is protected against shipping damage

  • Includes free round-trip shipping for warranty claims

  • Signed-for deliveries are not covered

Without Redo:

  • Only return shipping back to you is covered

Redo does not apply to returns or exchanges outside warranty or return policy terms.
